• Program - Quilt finishing School - Both the day and night programs will address what you need to do to get that quilt ready for the show! You made the top and got it quilted, now to the finishing part . . . Many people procrastinate on finishing the quilt, but it is as essential a part of quilt-making as the piecing and quilting, AND, it is frequently the part that catches the judge’s attention because you were in a hurry to “Git ‘r done!” Learn some tips and tricks this month to overcome your avoidance behavior. There will be a mini-demonstration of squaring-up your quilt and then blocking it after it is washed, and a group discussion on why your choice of fabric matters. THEN, we will break into groups for a round-robin demonstration of different binding and facing techniques as well as adding the sleeve and label. This program is just in time to give you the info you need to get your quilt ready for quilt-show registration. -- Cena Harmon
