2024 Jump Start Your Quilting: Baby Quilts

Let’s give Community Quilts a great start to the new year! We’ll have some baby-quilt sandwiches ready for practice in straightline quilting, echo quilting, and free-motion quilting! We will be able to move quite a few baby quilts on the Community Quilts' assembly line.
       This SOS event will be free because we hope to turn over a stack of quilts ready to be bound! Besides, it will be a great way to get into a quilting groove after the holidays. Isn’t “Make more quilts!” one of your 2024 resolutions?
        If you're new to quilting, then baby quilts are the place to start. First, smaller quilts are easier to manipulate. And you can practice any machine-quilting technique: using a quilting foot, a walking foot, a free-motion foot or rulers! And if you don't know what those are, you can learn all about them!
         Sign up soon; sewing space is limited to 20. This will be Share Our Skills, except no charge because the sewing will be for PQG. Registration is required only because space is limited to 20 sewing machines.
          Bring your sewing machine and usual sewing tools (a small cutting mat and rotary cutter are handy). We will have a few cutting boards and rotary cutters as well as ironing boards and irons!

If you haven't participated in SOS or a workshop at the bank, please bring your own water/beverage and lunch. There are also quite a few choices for take-out close by.
