Come learn how to make a quilt postcard — that you can actually mail to anyone!
Maybe someone has sent one to you recently. You know you want to make some — and this class is just the thing to get you going. Melissa Staton will show us how! She's even taking a day off her job for this!
During this workshop we will tap into card making creativity while incorporating our love of quilting. With the holiday season quickly approaching, this is a great opportunity to make a few Quilted Postcards for friends, family, or Quilting Buddies!
Whether you celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas or if you just want to make a your own seasonal postcard, this is a great opportunity to learn the easy art of quilted postcards.
The workshop will provide the cardstock base, along with a seasonal printout you can use to trace onto freezer paper to make fun appliqué shapes for your postcards. Plus, we will have a great supply of holiday scraps!

Supply List
Just bring your own fun, festive fabric scraps, some solid fabric in fall /winter colors, scraps of batting and muslin (or cotton scraps) measuring at least 5 inches x 7 inches, and let’s make some quilted postcards together.
Other items to bring:
• sewing machine with decorative stitch capabilities
• a denim needle for your sewing machine
• some fun colorful thread        • a small ruler, scissors
• school glue stick
        • small cutting mat & rotary cutter
• a small personal iron and mat (handy but not required)

*******************
PQG provides irons and ironing boards, cutting mats, rulers, and a few rotary cutters.
The bank is on the north side of Creighton, just east of Davis Highway.
Enter from the back of the building, not the front. Plenty of parking behind the bank; turn right after you enter the bank parking lot and drive around to the north side of the building.
Bring a snack or lunch plus whatever beverage you choose. There's no access to a kitchen or fridge. There are fast-food choices nearby but who wants to drive somewhere—and miss out on more sewing!
New PQG policy: Payments for Share Our Skills classes will be CASH or CHECK only. No more online/credit card payments. Please reserve your spot online and submit payment directly to Judy Walker at monthly meetings or other events. Text: 520-490-1553; email: judy@speedreaders.info
