2027 Fashion Show

The guild has not hosted a live fashion show at one of our quilt shows since 2004! We have had some fashion exhibits and garments displayed, but not a real, live, walk-about and parade your style kind of show. It's time!

You must do your part. Make a garment, any garment, any style, no exceptions; it just has to relate to quilting in some manner (applique, patchwork, quilting) If you want your granddaughter to parade in a dress you pieced – FINE! If you want to carry your grandbaby in his hand-appliqued Peter Rabbit jumper – FINE! If you and your sister want to wear matching jackets - FINE! If you want to show off all the crazy-quilt team shirts you made for your daughter’s bowling league – bring the team.

There will be no entry fee for this special exhibit. When you make your garment, write up something for our emcee to read. Be sure to include the pertinent parts. For example: the name of the pattern and its designer if you used a commercial pattern, any techniques you used (applique, ruched flowers, silk embroidery, type of fabric/batting/embellishments etc.), and write a brief story about who-what-when-where-or why you made it. Have fun, be creative.

Cena will be collecting names of participants beginning in November, although your garment does not need to be complete until the week of the show. We will want plenty of time to organize the file in advance of the show, so commit to this project and get to work!
